The Kingston® IronKey™ Keypad 200 USB-C Encrypted Flash Drive is a frontline defence against data breaches which cost Australian businesses millions annually. This OS-independent hardware-encrypted USB Type-C drive features an alphanumeric keypad for easy-to-use PIN access, incorporating XTS-AES 256-bit hardware-based encryption. It is FIPS 140-3 Level 3 (Pending) certified for military-grade security, with enhancements that elevate data protection, including brute force and BadUSB attack protection via digitally signed firmware. Its circuitry is covered by a layer of special epoxy, making it virtually impossible to remove components without damage, while the drive is designed to be tamper-evident. The keypad is coated with a polymer layer to protect keys and obscure fingerprint analysis for key usage.
The Keypad 200 utilises a built-in rechargeable battery, allowing users to unlock the drive without software before connecting to any device supporting USB Type-C mass storage, ensuring maximum flexibility across platforms and operating systems like Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, and Android.
With the Multi-PIN option (Admin/User), set up easy-to-remember yet hard-to-guess alphanumeric PINs. Admin can restore a forgotten User PIN or access the drive after 10 failed User attempts. If both PINs are enabled, 10 failed User attempts lock the User PIN; 10 failed Admin attempts trigger brute force protection, crypto-erasing the drive to permanently destroy data and reset it.
The drive offers two Read-Only (Write-Protect) modes: Global (Admin-set, persistent until reset) and Session-only (User-set), protecting against malware on untrusted systems. Admin can preload content and enforce Global Read-Only for secure data access without modifications. Certified to IP57 waterproof rating and passing SySS penetration tests, it ensures robust security.
